CBSSports: Labissiere's complex recruiting battle (no school bashing here)
He also changed AAU teams multiple times.
IMO.....this handler is the problem and has no business in basketball. He did help Skal, but has overstepped the boundaries. If he stayed cool and let the process unfold, then he would still end up getting hooked up in the long run. Greed is a hell of a thing.
Haha.....Frank Haith.

Yep. Handler is the problem. Not the first time, though, and not the last.

Sad, but true.

The idea that Skal would sit on the Memphis bench behind Austin & Shaq is being overplayed.
If and when we run lineups that have both Austin and Shaw on the floor....one of them is bound to run into foul trouble.
It is a nice problem to have to have someone like Skal give Shaw or Austin a breather.
Under Pastner we have really never had the luxury of having so many big men.
In his first year Coach Pastner had Wesley Witherspoon and Will Coleman.
Spoon was played out of position alot....and if he or Will got into foul trouble we were in major trouble.

But, outside the handler crap, that's the real issue with Skal. Playing time. He envisions himself as one and done, so giving minutes to Shaq and Nichols is likely not in his plans. He wants to start from the beginning. He can do that at Ole Miss. He might do it at UK, b/c they turn the roster over every year. IF Shaq and Nichols are both still around, then that's a problem for us.

Not really. Bench players can still be one and done. Lavine at UCLA did it

Yes, and Eric Bledsoe and Daniel Orton did it at UK, but Skal has said playing time is important to him, so that puts a dent in that theory.

And he will not get it here? Big men are prone to fouls. If anything they could have the same amount of playing time. Also who is to say Shaq and Austin don't go pro. Shaq will be a junior and his stock will not get any higher if he stays his senior year and Austin is projected to be a first round pick. That leaves us with Dom as the only big that is for sure going to be there. I actually think this is Shaq and Austin's last year here. Skal definitely has to know of that possibility.

He won't get nearly as much if Shaq and Nichols are still here. That's what he has to assume until he discovers otherwise, for sure. Nobody who plans to be one and done wants to spend any time on the bench. They want to start.
But right now, it looks like the handler getting a payoff is a bigger priority, so the debate is moot for now.
