Another Fleck article
http://coachingsearch.247sports.com/Arti...s-29810228

16 uses of I or Me in this one and of course.... He refers to himself in the third person in a sentence that includes Tressel and Belichek.

You know pretty standard stuff.

Getsy was picked up by the Packers, because of the "caliber" of a program we have here....not because of his own caliber.

RE: Another Fleck article
Both of them moved up.

If Fleck helped them somehow, feather(s) in his cap.

On the other hand, rest of staff may have to dust off their resumes to seek further employment in coaching profession if things on the field continue as they have.

The "I" and "me" stuff is just further indication of what we already know about him.

Instead of RTB and WTF, maybe our next motto should be FU (Fleck U.)

Actually, the I/me stuff makes more sense in an article that centers around losing and hiring assistants. Not much you can do with "we" there. It's not a team-related topic.

Disagree.

Mature head coaches would congratulate the departing assistants, extol their virtues while thanking them for contributions they made to our program, wish them continued success in their careers - all while using "we" and "our."

But that's not Fleck. And it shows.

You don't say "I love seeing coaches move on because it says I'm great, kinda like Belichek"

instead you say "I think it speaks highly about our university and what we are doing here. I hate to lose quality guys but I know it makes a job here that much more attractive to future coaches. If we turn into a breeding ground for better career opportunities than that's great for all of us involved. "

This is really basic PR stuff

Who gives a rats azz about the I's and "me's. It's about branding, and keeping your name out there. Kids want to see their coach or potential coach in the media. We don't have a Big Ten Network to promote us, and MAC media is awful. If you're not selling it nobody else is either.

Basic PR stuff is not meant to promote your product it's meant to keep you from saying something that will get you in hot water or embarrass your employer. While we know Fleck is in hot water with a few here, he doesn't appear to be with MI HS coaches, recruits parents, or the donors with deep pockets.

While a few of the well healed alums may be sitting on the sidelines in judging him I don't think many have totally folded the tent on him.

Some things take care of themselves. I'm actually getting a lot of indications the tent is folding but the cost is sunken and options are limited.

I sense extremely limited excitement for Bronco football from the people I associate with....far far cry from last year.

Hey, look... even found more evidence in another thread.

A number of them are very much into RTB and behind Fleck all the way.

I may not be in agreement with them on some things lately, but I hold immense respect for their contributions and loyalty.

DB might want to double check with his sources out in Cheyenne.

Well....... I could talk about some of the dissatisfied ones too, but that was not my point.

Hoekey - Practice what you preach. You complain about DB destroying every thread. Then you drag a post from another thread over here to pick a fight with him.
