Men's senior basketball player Sean Kilpatrick and sophomore runner Kenya Woodall have been named UC's men's and women's athletes of the year for 2013-14.

Kilpatrick led the American Athletic Conference in scoring with 20.6 points per game and helped the Bearcats win a share of the conference title on the way to their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. He won the The American's Sportsmanship Award and was a first-team Associated Press All-American.

Woodall set school records in both the 400-meter indoor and outdoor events. She set the indoor record with a time of 54.07 at the Armory Collegiate Invitational in March and set the outdoor record of 53.26 at the Louisville Twilight Classic, breaking a record set 12 years ago by Olympic gold medalist Mary Wineberg.
