Does anyone know if the video is available yet? If so, do you have a URL?

Was waiting for the Q&A but they cut out after the statement. Is there a link or video of the Q&A with reporters?

Though he didn't come right out and say it, I get the sense that the MAC will be providing the full cost of attendance to its athletes once the P5 votes to put it in place

I do believe he said that the MAC would support the full cost of attendance.

He was just against outright paying them.

Who decides what the full cost of attendance is? I could see the P5 conferences calculating a much higher cost of attendance than those conferences with less money. Of course, that would just be coincidence, and not a sneaky way of paying players or anything like that....05-stirthepot

RE: State of the MAC Video
To clarify, the MAC supports full-cost scholarships and would vote IN FAVOR of them, but wants the record to reflect that it does not support converting from the established AMATEUR collegiate model to a professional (or semi-professional) model that would pay "student-athletes" directly.

At the 13:50 mark: "We are headed toward the re-definiton of a "grant-in-aid," so that it may include the full cost of attendance. And while I am supportive of this, we will not support paying student-athletes, which is inconsistent with the collegiate model."

At the 14:05 mark: "The Football Bowl Subdivision, FBS, it remains intact. And in fact, the 10 FBS conferences worked collaboratively in moving forward on this new governance structure. In the end, no one got everything they wanted. That's probably a positive thing."
