This is the guy who was named to replace Max Baucus when he became ambassador to (China? Japan?).

Even without this, he was probably on track to lose the November election. Now the question is whether he will even be on the ballot, or decide to "spend more time with his family", as they say. In either case, Montana now joins South Dakota and West Virginia as the 3 Senate seats that are about 99.9% certain to go from D to R after the New Year.

It all comes down to a Man's Character. What a Democrat!!

I write a lot of papers (writing one now)....all I've got to say is: what a dick.

It is shameful and lazy. People across all ideologies do this, it is not only silly but amusing to see some try to paint it as an ideological divide. Get used to humanity... some will do whatever they can to cheat the system!

well, one could make the argument that wall st, oil companies, the housing collapse, the automotive collapse....etc....are much worse than doing a fakey in the half pipe....

And keep in mind, this isn't something he did when he was 21. He was 46.

It is certainly an insight into his character and begs the question of "What would he also do if elected to a powerful position?"

So is it plagiarism always terrible, or only when a Democrat is accused of doing it? I don't recall many right-wingers getting upset when Rand Paul was busted for plagiarism. Maybe you righties will condemn his actions now?

One must take into account how extensive the plagiarism was and its impact on the work as a whole.

This one appears to be extensive....including plagiarizing someone else's conclusions. Good lord...you can't even write your own conclusions?

I don't keep up much with Rand Paul, but if he did, in fact, commit plagiarism then I agree that gives some significant insight into his moral/ethical character. It's true for Rand Paul, it's true for John Walsh, for Joe Biden, Martin King Jr. and all the others.
