Here are some highlights of what he said (copied and pasted from another UC board).

- Munchie doing very well, would say hes about 80%, thought he would only be around 60-65% at this point

- Took it to Whit and the AAC about the schedule, thought the league should have helped out way more than they did in keeping them from having 2 bye's to start the season

- Recruiting is going very well, said probably the best its been anywhere he's been...said they have 22 commits...(Tim? hahaha)

- Has a strong relationship with ESPN's head of scheduling, working on future games that may surprise some people.

- 2015 opener will probably be moved and could be a conference game people will be excited about

- Will not just go somewhere to get a check, has to do home and home, says UC is beyond that, but hard to find teams who will come in, they know how good we are.

- Wants to give starting QB 2-3 weeks to work with the 1's, called Gunner a "media QB" since he has lots of hype and has never played, has to earn respect from the players, thinks he's doing a good job

- Players have really laid it on the line last 10-12 weeks, have gotten stronger/faster


Wonder if the Nippert expansion/upgrade opener will be UCF? Woohoo!

Also like that he is in with somebody at scheduling at ESPN....maybe we can score some good games/opponents

At least he'd leave for a head coaching gig...most Memphis coaches limp into position coaching spots after they " leave" Memphis.

While the lesson here is 'don't believe everything a coach tells you', I still think there's some good information from this interview.

Link to yesterday's show on 1530. Tuberville interview begins about 75% into the show. It reads the 26:15 mark (it's actually 1:26 in but the counter resets after an hour)

Tubs is always a good interview.
