I agree with the rankings for the most part, but I cringe every time someone says we are drastically changing our offense. In Fritz's Sun Belt interview today he literally said "I have always run a triple option, it's just the Offensive Line that is changing."

I appreciate them picking App 4th, but I can't agree with it. We're very young, have too many question marks on the OL, depth issues and a whole bunch of new WR's.

Yeah, fourth may be a little high, but at least some appreciate our potential to
disrupt things and pull some upsets.

that's a dumb stat to mention in a rankings article. "Hey, these guys lost by less than we thought they would against these opponents" lol

You should have already been suspicious when they called any team a "lock" to win the conference. Even in our 10 win seasons there were several close wins. No such thing as a lock in the SBC.

I will state this once again.....we are similar to the SEC in this respect....if any team in this Conference, including the Cajuns, overlooks anyone in this Conference they are gonna get beat...

You're getting there...but its going to take time. I think if I remember correctly, Fox has always used the moniker you prefer.

Not only a lock but they aren't going to lose one conference game to the mighty Cajuns now - it has already been decided!

True we will still have a triple option - but that OL changing is going to be huge. Not cutting and attacking that way off of the snap is going to be interesting. It is also going to require a different skill set and physical attributes - something that I fear might highlight some weaknesses especially against OOC/AQ games.

And the QB's position at the play start, so far behind that OL is going to be very different from what we have been most successful with.

I'm behind Fritz - but It's going to take a lot to convince me that this new scheme is superior or even equal to our old one. The changes are big.

I'd LOVE to see us come out in the Flexbone on our opening play against NCState - and watch them go - OH CRAP because they are probably watching SHSU game file to get ready for that game and maybe glimpsed the Florida game and said - "they aren't running that anymore". Then switch over to Fritz's stuff to do what he knows best. BUT - every now and then we come out of the huddle into that flexbone, even if it is just to adjust back to the gun before the snap. Oh the mind games that are possible!

Maybe GaSo should go to some newer type offense.
What kind? Oh, don't know, how about the single wing.
