If you were going to raid the SEC would Tennessee be in the top 5?
TN would be my #1 team to get from the SEC. #2 would be Florida. #3 Chickenland. #I'll-Burn-This-Place-To-The-Ground-First is UGAg.
Just curious as to why a few of you ACC fans would prefer UT over Vandy or Auburn?
I agree. Overall it would seem Vandy is the better fit.
It wouldn't bother me a bit if the ACC took both UT and Vandy. That would do several things, not the least of which is get the realignment carousel spinning again. Think about the possibilities.
Without those two, Kentucky would be stranded on an island, only now they are in the same division as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. The ACC window is closed at 16 teams. Maybe they call Bob Bowlsby and hint that they would be a nice Ohio Valley bridge to west Virginia.
Maybe that nudges BYU into the Big 12 camp at a nice round 12 schools. Think of the hoops to go along with their football power.
Kansas vs Kentucky twice a year? Gotta love that. And they had 7 out of 10 schools make the dance last year without BYU and Kentucky. They are now as strong as any conference in hoops.
But what about the poor SEC? Now they are down to 11 teams, with no CCG, and have only two reliable patsies left (Ole Miss and Miss St). How are they going to pile up gaudy records if they have to play each other? Who will come to save the day for ESPN's darlings?
Hey, it's July. A fan can daydream, can't he?
