Dear Dave,
It's always sad when you hear this kind of a story. Looks like he had a gambling problem. Quitting this job isn't going to help him earn a living. What kind of job could he possibly get after this kind of publicity?

It's going to be tough to find another gig after that kind of publicity. He really was a good color analyst. Too bad.

Gambling can destroy people. Cecil Fielder, Pete Rose and Art Schlichter come to mind.
It's too bad. Long seems like a good guy.
