for playing a true freshmen qb, for having a 1st year head coach with little expereince, and completely changing offensiv philosphy from the previous year (which was a power run)..temples offnese looked extremely good. and it has a ton of upside as next year "they wont be figuring everything out"
the problem is the defense more specifically the secondary which was horrific and thats putting it nicely, for about 6 weeks straight last season the AAC offensive player of the week was the qb that played temple. the dline was serviceable but if they can get the secondary to atleast service-able they are the one team i can see crack the top 4. they added some transfer and some touted DB recruits so we'll see what happens with that.
Wide receiver is a question after losing robbie but like i say robbie didnt look that great before pj became qb, pj could make someone else look good aswell
im the minority here but i think they can take vandy, vandy is a run team and the heir apparent qb isnt that good a passer, they'll have a hard time exploiting temples weakness
Well informed remarks. Hope you're right

I'm seeing 4-8 too.
Tulane, Tulsa, Memphis, UCONN are all toss-ups. I'm not going to say which ones they'll win.

I'm surprised not a single person picked us to beat UCF. If the two JUCO safeties we got are as good as advertised and a few WRs step up, I dont think there's a single team on our schedule we're incapable of beating.

Hell we almost beat them last year, in college football anything can happen. There will probably be an unforeseen loss and an unforeseen win scattered by the end of the year.

That loss better not be Delaware State. There would be rebellion on N. Broad St. if that happened.

Personally, I think Vandy is the key. They have all new coaching staff and don't have a QB.

Basically, this whole conference is a toss up after the first 4 of Houston, Cincy, UCF, and ECU. Should make for a exciting season.

This will be an 'anything can happen' season. Not sure the top 4 of the conference are far and away better than the rest. UCF has a lot coming back, but QB is the question mark. You don't replace Bortles that easily.

That's how it looks to me, too, although I know it won't quite shake out that way.

At minimum 6, but possibly 7-8.

Good scouting report.
They could still win just 4 games. I think 6 tops and likely 5. Those first two games, Vandy and Navy will really set the tone. Split and it's OK. Lose both and it's trouble. Win both and a bowl is within reach.

agree with Temple being the sleeper team...I was actually impressed with them last year vs Cincy and I like the qb

I can see this upset happening after seeing these facts. Catch 'em sleeping & not quite settled into the new staff/team. I will be a TEMPLE FAN that day!
