03-yawn He didn't start the first two games or even play in the first game vs an FCS school.

7-1 that year vs CUSA. Almost 2700 yards in the last 9 games alone. 299 yards a game passing average to finish that season. I'd say he hit his grove that year down the stretch and never looked back last year. I expect 4k this year as well.

like knight time said, he gained nearly a 1000yd between odu and tulane (with OT) alone .....nccentral doesnt have a odu offense, that'll force your 1st string to stay in most of the game. tulanes defense has gotten better .

The "experts" pick Tulane to finish next to last or tied for 9th in the conference. They pick ECU to contend for a Conference Championship (and rightly so, IMHO). But few remember that a gutsy Tulane team won that game in OT despite playing a RS Frosh QB making his second start ever. He played it close to the vest until OT, where he went off and showed he's a D1 QB. I know ECU fans will say they missed a few FG's, and had 96 yard pick-6 go against them, but still, Tulane won the game.

Tulane was one phantom holding call (on a RB option play that scored the apparent winning TD at Rice) from playing Marshall in the CUSA Championship game. The secondary will be one of the best in the country. The O is suspect, but the O line can only get better. I don't think we're winning the AAC, but do think we finish somewhere significantly higher than 9th.

I hope every QB on here has better that "projected" stats in OOC games, we will need to grow this conf rep very quickly in order to compete with the P5 and further seperate ourselves from the #2 G5 conf.

Anyone that thinks ECU basketball stinks hasn't seen Tulane. We might be the bottom of D1. I can only hope that we have a new AD by the time we hire a replacement for coach Conroy. A once proud program, one that gave Lou Carneseca a retirement gift by beating St. Johns in his last game, cannot beat the weak Sisters of the South.
