Nelson is committed to UCF.

Wait 'til he flips Kareem and the rest. 05-stirthepot

I think the opposite is much more likely.

No, we don't.

For this Fall Semester, yes, UCF is still penalized 5 scholarships.

Remember, 3 dozen players from other schools inquired about transferring to UCF this year and UCF obviously couldn't take most, especially with most requiring to redshirt.

In regard to this former UF TE, Thompson,he is from PA so he will get to play in front of family and friends at Temple, so it's a win-win for both.

Why?

He had an offer from Temple but narrowed his list to Pitt and UCF, and ultimately chose UCF. And it's not like he didn't expect for his teamates to sign elsewhere. He also stated that alot of his family already lives in Orlando and that his mom is moving down soon, too. So there's no incentive to stay closer to home if his entire family is either in Orlando or in the process of moving.

FAU had a big time RB commit along the same story lines; he wanted to build something from scratch, stay local, recruit all of his teammates, etc. He's now de-committed.

Not saying it will happen to Temple, but this story line exists any time a "big recruit" signs with a lesser known program. They also hype up the idea that they're bring all of their buddies with them but rarely does that happen.

Kareem is a Temple legacy, with a father who played football at Temple, a mom who ran track at Temple, and he was born at Temple University hospital. It is much more likely he is able to flip Neal to Temple, to play with him and Zaire Williams, also from Timber Creek. If Kareem wouldn't flip for Florida, Louisville, Penn State, etc., he's not going to flip for UCF. He's never even mentioned UCF before.

There are also basketball recruiting implications, as Kareem's father went to Temple the same time as Rick Brunson (Jalen Brunson) and Levan Alston Sr. (Levan Alston Jr.). Kareem Sr. expressed his hope that they all go to Temple together and they're planning on meeting soon to discuss it.

This has absolutely zero in common with Jordan Scarlett.

The NCAA has deemed Thompson eligible this year according to Coach Rhule. He's still working his way back, but he's expected to play this year. Will be a big help for PJ.
