We have been dipping into Georgia for a long time. If you check out our 247 page there are silent commits out there. Gol doesn't take commits until they are solid. We are also in the top 5 or top 2 of pretty much every recruits lists the AAC isn't helping. Additionally he is a 3 star on 247 and has stupendous numbers. mpton may be the most explosive of the group, racking up 132 tackles, 19.5 sacks and 32 tackles for loss as a junior. Anyway in our system he will be just fine. A lot of his staff are from Georgia via the tech days so we do well there. We regularly compete with Georgia tech. The guys taggert is getting are the guys who want to stay home. We are also waiting on some test scores for some. Gol won't take them until they qualify

GOL has his own rating system for recruits and has often criticized the recruit services and their star ratings. The number of 5-star recruits for UF to make the NFL and the number of 2-star recruits from UCF who made the NFL are probably about the same.

I think I'll trust the coaches on this one.

Why would UCF give up on recruiting connections in GA (or NY et al) ?

GOL and all of his Asst coaches have.connections from all over.

Who cares if a player comes from right next door to UCF like Bortles or if they came from NY like Latavius Murray and Will Stanback or if they came from GA like Storm Johnson, Plummer, Perriman et al?
