NFL to change draft advisory rules
http://www.sportingnews.com/sport/story/...gents-ncaa

The NFL is proposing a couple of changes to its draft advisory board rules, with the changes designed to keep kids for declaring early.

Quote:First, players will only be given a draft grade if they project in the first two rounds. Everyone else will be told to go back to school. Previously draft grades would be given to projected third round picks, even though the board would recommend they return to school. Second, the board will limit evaluations to five players per college team although exceptions are possible.

As the article states, there are more people whispering in players' ears than just the draft advisory board, but it seems the NFL has shifted interest away from wanting more players coming out early and trying to keep them in college.
