Night of Champions tonight: good turnout & commitments
From what I've seen on Twitter, tonight's event was a success for the first year. Lots of high school talent out on the Southside tonight. I've heard of at least two commitments made to the Blazers as well.

Side note, JSU happened to be holding a similar event tonight as well... not as big a turnout as UAB's from the pics I've seen. Not sure of the talent level at each event.

I brought it up b/c a few JSU fans brought this to my attention via Twitter in the last couple weeks. JSU fans were also talking about it on their board. Remember, we basically are the 2013 JSU Gamecocks right now from a coaching & philosophy standpoint right now. They had their program's best season in history last year... nothing to sneeze at considering where UAB has been the last several years.

True, but how much worse were they the year before?

JSU has won real national championships, I doubt last year ranks as their best ever.

That should be a national championship (singular) in 1992 at the Division II level, although they had 3 championship game appearances. An argument could be made it was their best ever because of the playoff success this past year at the I-AA level.
