Georiga State vs Penn State
http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/college/g...017/nghTN/

Georgia State’s football team will play at Penn State, according to a copy of a contract between the teams obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution through an open records request.

The teams will play Sept. 16. 2017. The Panthers will receive $1.2 million for the game, tied for the largest pay-to-play amount for the university.

Penn State’s coaching staff, led by James Franklin, were guests at Georgia State’s football camp this summer. Franklin and Panthers coach Trent Miles are longtime friends.

Perhaps some of the players Penn St picked up in Georgia will thank whoever is coaching Ga St. Maybe Miles will be an assistant in State College.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ga State's sister school, UAB, did something similar.

We know that but we just like to yank the panthers chain with this game being announce right after the football camp put on inconjuction with the very same P5 school.

I'm pretty good reading emotion, and I sense a wee bit of hostility between GaState and GaSouthern fans.

Are y'all still crying about the camps? We will take the $1.2 million. We need upgrades to the practice facility. We will also take the $1 million plus when the ND game is announced.

No hostility we just don't like each other.

Hope GaSt is able to go into Happy Valley and come out with a W.

I don't see anybody crying about it here. But I guess you ga state folks just look for some reason to post a video or stupid photo.

RE: Georiga State vs Penn State
I for one would love to see GS play more games in the P5 outside of the SEC and ACC, but I understand for recruiting purposes it's probably a better idea to play regional P5 teams.
