ODU and CUSA games without cable
I'm looking to dump cable and instead use an over the air HD antennae and subscribe to Hulu Plus.
I have an LG smart TV so any suggestions as to how (or if its even possible) to stream ESPN, Fox Sports, and/or CBS Sports Network on my TV?

I use ChromeCast to stream from my PC. It works great.

If I cancel my Cox TV service but maintain the high speed internet service, do you know if the WatchESPN app is still available to me?

I would think yes but it is more limited. That's how Fios works.

You would get ESPN3 broadcasts, but nothing that is showing on the ESPN television channels.
WatchESPN can be added to up to 5 devices, so if you have any friends with cable, maybe offer them access to your Hulu subscription in exchange for WatchESPN?
If you have a Roku/AppleTV/FireTV, WatchESPN access can actually be granted without them even giving you their password. Instead, you download the application and you will be given a code. All they have to do is go to a URL like es.pn/firetv or es.pn/roku and enter that code and you get access.
If you have a Roku, there is an application you can download that will also allow you to subscribe to CBS Sports network for $4.95/mo.

I cut the cord for a few years when I lived in Norfolk...not because I couldn't afford it, but I just grew weary of paying for something I wasn't using...from my high-rise in Ghent, I could get all the local channels over-the-air...use a powered antenna, one that plugs in with signal amp. You can get a good one for about $50...I could not stream regular ESPN programming but could access ESPN3 which had a surprising amount of sports I wanted to see...eventually I got a Roku box and viewed Netflix and MLB broadband through it...my biggest challenge was NFL games not being shown in the area, and I would use a pirate site or go to a sports bar for that (it looks like you may be able to purchase Sunday Ticket on the web this season)...someone else mentioned Chromecast which is good option for streaming to your TV...depending on how "smart" your TV is, you may already have streaming built-in...
Try it and see how you like it...good luck
