ECU will head up the rest of the conference---but they will be a step behind due to their weak defense. The ECU offense will be quite good, but the 3 teams I mentioned have good offenses AND good defenses.
Yeah, we **** the bed against Marshall. I disagree with you on our defense, we'll see how things play out soon enough. I don't think we'll win the conference but I also don't think we finish behind all 3 of those teams.

Well given that we just signed a CFP contract that associates us completely with the "others", that is probably going to be difficult to pull off, eh?

Another blog with another AAC football prediction: 1. ECU, 2. UCF, 3. UC, 4. ...
The AAC is betting it's horse on getting a better tv deal after this one expires. This deal was about building a brand. The AAC is uniquely positioned to do this because of it's war chest. No other conference can. I think byu will be in a conference within 5 years. Their boosters are saying that. I also think the AAC will lose one or possibly two schools at the time their higher dollar contract comes in. That's when the b12 will move and when the AAC does as well. It will earn enough dollars at that point to become the tweener conf the beast was. The question is how far the p5 are willing to expand and how far the networks want to expand

Looks like the AAC is going to a real dog fight for its football championship this year.
