RE: C-USA Media Day
The weblink shows this to be a 2014 schedule....based on the C-USA 2014 Media guide pictured, and the fact that WKU is in attendance.

I think he is saying it is similar to last years schedule. Meaning not much change.

I hope every coach says something extremely controversial and each one smack talks at least one other team.

That would be awesome. Everyone is to PC now days. The only ppl that stir stuff up anymore seem to be Spurrier, Les Miles, and Rex Ryan.

Would be some welcomed pub and a kickstart to rivalries.

Well Deiter Kurtenbach is no longer covering FAU for the Sun Sentinel so our primary twitter follow for CUSA media days will be @ryan_s_clark.

He is just filling in till they assign a new beat writer.

RE: C-USA Media Day
Since we are talking media day, why would you release your preseason all-conference team and your new TV agreement the week before your media day. Would this information not made the media day more exciting and brought more coverage to the event? What do you guys think of this?

Or it allows the reporters to get comments from the coaches about the added coverage. I think you all are reading too much into that.

LOL! We could certainly use the coverage it would create, but I'd only support controversial trash talking if it were done in connection to a new traveling trophy for the Texas schools. I'm still waiting for North Texas, Rice, UTEP, and UTSA to start fighting over a "Come and Take It" flag.

With the new media deal and pre-season All-Conference Teams already out, I hope they will be announcing some rivalry trophies, and maybe an OOC scheduling alliance with the MWC.

RE: C-USA Media Day *UPDATED*
Interesting information on season preview shows.

Conference USA's social media platforms will provide live updates throughout the day. Photos, notes and other information will be posted via Twitter (@CUSAFB) and on the Conference USA Facebook page and Instagram account.

Television coverage previewing the upcoming season will be provided by the league's television partners following Wednesday's Media Day.

FOX Sports Southwest will also produce two Football Preview shows set to air in August prior to the start of the season titled The C-USA East Division Football Preview and The C-USA West Division Football Preview. Both shows will be 30 minutes long and will air on select FSN affiliates and FOX College Sports, debuting Wednesday, August 6 at 5:30 p.m. CDT.

Fox Sports 1 and CSN Houston will each have crews in Irving to shoot interviews that will air during several different college football preview shows that both networks will broadcast during the month of August.

The live broadcast will be streamed on the C-USA Digital Network, but two preview specials will air on the Fox regional channels, and interviews will be included on preview specials on Fox Sports 1. So, yes, it is still better than the Sun Belt media day.

I noticed that yesterday. Quite unfortunate. UAB is without a full time beat writer as well. Drew Champlin was moved to cover Alabama recruiting. :/

I like that CUSA has let Charlotte participate the last two years despite our football team not being a part of the conference yet.

Monken will let it fly from time to time. He took a shot at UAB at the football party in Jackson. Mentioned their attendance, and said noone (coaches, personnel, athletes) seemed to want to be there when we came to Birmingham. 05-stirthepot
