ESPN commitment to the ACC?
Anyone else notice the SEC has about 20 media personalities/analyst for every 1 ACC (not scientific, just a guestimation)?

Does this concern anyone else?

Is it wise to sell out to a network where your conference is an after thought?

No, this doesn't concern me. The game is played on the field and it'd be foolish to care what these entertainers say or think.

The SEC is king right now. It's just reality.

Lets wait and see how ESPN covers the ACC media days. So far though they have been kinder than usual but yeah, of course, the SEC has been given more attention.

How is asking for other folks opinions an overreaction?

I think your response to a question is an overreaction.

Not really addressing attention from SEC media day.

I am addressing the huge number of SEC analyst that are now working and being hired by SEC vs those who are ACC analyst.

The ratio is extremely weighted in one direction.

RE: ESPN commitment to the ACC?
Given the launch of the SEC Network, I wouldn't expect anything other than an increase in SEC analyst. Even if there wasn't a launch of the SEC network, wouldn't you expect to see more personalities coming from the conference with the greatest amount of success in football. You see the total opposite when it comes to bball.

I'd certainly like to see ESPN promote ACC football a little more. Not sure if media day coverage matters that much to me, though.

Nope.

And, the ACC is not an afterthought -- methinks you have them confused with the AAC.

No, though I suppose if someone had a history of expressing dislike for the ACC, then it would probably bother them.

RE: ESPN commitment to the ACC?
What I found more concerning was the ESPN PR folks, on Twitter and Facebook, acting more like conference PR people. I didn't see them promoting the TV network as much as I saw them promoting the coaches, players, etc. more.

I suppose that will be the norm, but it kinda bothered me seeing/reading it for some reason. The conference has its own PR staff. Felt like they had two.

Were those ESPN folks alumni of SEC schools by any chance?

Correct -- I'd be concerned if ESPN starts hyping SEC basketball games that involve neither Kentucky or Florida.
