Big XII is really working out (not).

I don't need to state the obvious but maybe I will.. Big XII full share TV will pay @least $20 Million/ yr..Our Tier 3 TV pays approx $6-7 Million/yr, & bowl share payout from conference approximately $5million plus/yr....so, WVU will get $31 million plus/yr when everything shakes out in 2 more yrs. Please tell me why the Big XII is not working out. The ACC sure in the hell did not want us b/c of the quality of our academics; am cool with that & also happy to be in a Power 5 conference..Hokie Mark, please enlightened me on what AD Luck should have done?

IMO, you could say that you are not winning because you joined the Big 12. The competition is tougher than you were used to. But to completely disregard the possibility that being a geographical outlier has hurt attendance would be wrong, too.

That being said, WVU had no better option available to it. What you have lost in ticket sales (in basketball, too) you more than make up in better conference payouts. To have declined an invitation to the Big 12 would have been extremely foolish.
