That wouldn't be good for us. We worked hard on getting to the upper level and not dropping to the FAU and FIU level. Not that FAU or FIU are bad, but we are on another level with fan support.

I wouldn't mind knocking off those programs who can't even get an actual crowd of 15k or have a budget less than 30 million.

Then you aren't much of a UCF fan.

Wait, if Idaho and New Mexico State could be members, does that mean they're moving down to FCS, or is Big Sky moving all its schools up to FBS? I'm out of the loop on this one.

I believe they would be moving down. I seem to recall talk of such things when the WAC went defunct.

Sounds like Slive's so called bluff (according to some on this board) worked.

Idaho SHOULD be forced to move down to FCS. They never should have been permitted to join FBS in the first place since they don't meet the requirements to join.

Let's be honest here... 128 FBS teams is just way too much and more and more FCS teams are making the jump. I seriously hope that the new governing structure immediately places a moratorium on teams joining FBS and begins to look at how to cull out some of the programs that seriously should not be at this level. Idaho, New Mexico State, UMass, and UAB, just to toss some names out there, are NOT viable FBS football programs. They don't have the fundamental infrastructure, the budgets, nor the will to compete at this level.
