Hoping for 6, but realistically more like 4 or 5. I've said before, if we don't win at least 5, there's going to be a lot of grumbling even if it isn't entirely fair. But it just may be that the program isn't quite there yet. We'll see.

6-7. Bowl eligible and drop the bowl game to TN in Birmingham.

Can't wait for the first tailgate.

Ha. If we beat UCLA, we should win a lot more than 6. UCLA is likely a top 10 team.

We have beaten highly ranked teams before and not won more than 6. Look at UCLA's schedule, I think it is very conducive to a big time let down. Believe me, I know what UCLA is thinking of Memphis Football.

It has been awhile (1975) but we have beaten a highly ranked team and won 7 games or so. (Auburn)

I see 4-5 L's. After that depends on the strength of the other teams. When do we get Middle off the schedule, like forever.

Sure some at UTK have higher expectations but it is a realistic goal IMO for you guys. It would be good for us too, and likely a well supported game that the bowl organizers should like too....of course with a Memphis win!

I believe in Coach Dickey and the new up tempo approach. If the O-line holds up we win 6 and win a bowl game. I also believe our secondary will be better than most believe. The punt game has me the most nervous. Games are won and lost in special teams.

Hopefully this year we will get back to the formula of winning the games we are supposed to and steal at least two games where we aren't favored.

At least 5, maybe 7. What a huge difference two games makes.

Years ago that was our rep & it got to where now-P5 schools would avoid us. Would love to see us get back to where we could compete physically with just about anyone.

I recall after the UF game we won under Stobart at Gainesville, listening to the UF commentary after the game. They were consistently saying that we physically dominated UF and that they were lucky to have been in the game with us at all. They were wondering why UF could recruit line talent like Memphis had. It was a great win & thrill to be in the stands that day rooting for the Tigers.
