wow. that stadium screams big time. Houston should dominate the West until the call up to the P5. Great job. 04-cheers

Thanks for the kind words, No Bull

We've (past/present) long waited for this precious moment, absolutely a game changer no doubt.

Go Coogs!!

I have to admit that I've made fun of UCF's stadium a ton of times...and justifiably so. I whole heartedly admit your program is in an awesome place but your stadium is a glorified high school stadium. Sorry UCF fans, I'm not trying to jab at you. Just comparing two recent stadium builds. I do like the press box though...something ECU hasn't been able to accomplish yet (so there is the self knock). But I can't find anything wrong with what Houston has done. That stadium looks awesome for only being 40k. It just doesn't look that small and it has all of the visual elements that scream big time football. Way to represent the AAC Houston! 04-cheers

Um, I didn't get the sense that he was being sarcastic. Not sure why you're digging at UCF. 07-coffee3

My apologies then. I'm sure I could have done that differently.

However late, I'll try to turn it around. Awesome job Coogs! Here's to full stadiums throughout the AAC!

Notice the ventilation ducts in the women's restroom shot.

I love that we will be able to prepare fresh food at the stadium. In the past, we've trucked in food and just warmed it up.

Puddles of water/urine to walk through in the bathrooms. Good to know we're keeping some of Robertson's traditions. 03-lmfao

UCF, Cincinnati, and Houston will be forces to be reckoned with.

UH TDECU Stadium ($15 mil for the name) is truly state of the art. The outside skin of the stadium is pierced stainless steel for ventilation and aesthetics . It could end up with the nickname "The Cage" . Of course we would be the Cougar Cage Fighters ! We will have great food, tailgates, various retail, WIFI,Kid play zones ,party decks,Legend's Plaza ,superior locker rooms for both teams , special set up for the press/broadcast and a whole lot more . It is designed for 40k+ in the first phase,50k in the second and 60k in the third .

Our stadium is designed to maximize your game day experience . Please come down when we play your team in Houston . You will get a big old Texas welcome and have a great time!

Let's get this party started !04-cheers
Go Coogs!

Thanks. I can't comment on UCF since I have not been there.

I'll just say this: The Houston football program has never had a stadium built with UH as the main tenant.

HISD built Robertson, initially for HS games. The city built Rice Stadium to be shared by UH and Rice, but it was built on Rice's campus. The Astrodome was built for the Astros.

We've never had this kind of economic engine before.

I predict ECU, Tulsa and USF will be as well, with SMU and Memphis making it interesting every so often.

Thanks. I love how we get left out being one year removed.

We're all very excited about our new stadium. I look forward to seeing visitor fans making the trip and hearing what they have to say about the Coogs new home. Labor Day weekend will get here before we all know it. I also hope to see AAC teams handle their OOC games. Eat Em Up!
