LOL. I watch a lot of Mavs games and you would barely know that he is still in the league. The Mavs got a steal, of sorts, by signing Chandler Parsons away from Houston. I'm not sure Cuban had room to pay Carter much more.

I am excited about Tyson Chandler coming back to the Mavs and Chandler Parsons coming in.

RE: Vince carter signs.
great pickup. Vince is an upgrade over Miller since he's more than just a 3pt specialist even though nobody in the league has made more 3s off the bench in the past 2 years than Vince.

He helped us win a couple of games the first 2 months of the season, but overall it was a terrible, terrible signing. Would have been better off keeping the roster spot open and letting Jordan Adams play his role. He couldn't possibly have done any worse. Hindsight is 20/20 doe.

We just got him a year or two late. Actually him being a year or too late is why we got him. I still think these guys are not as bad as shooting as the offense makes them look. Lee in particular has a good shot. So does Leuer. The pressure is on Joerger and the front office to improve the shooting during the off season.

It's the system that's bull****. Other NBA teams run actual plays and offensive sets to get their shooters open. The Grizzlies don't do any of that stuff, just post-up post-up post-up and the occasional pick and roll.

I think it's the system too. Heck Pondexter started for a PO team in the West and actually played reasonably well. I would take him over the current version of Carter and dare I say even Green.

I'm disappointed in Green's play. Frankly I wonder if we may have been in a slightly better position playing Prince and Q in the 2nd unit.

It seems every year the pressure is on the front office and head coach to improve the shooting

Although sometimes things do not workout as planned, I think the front office is doing the best job they can based on limitations inherent in managing the staffing function at the NBA level.

You must not watch much NBA.

I watch the playoffs when the games actually seem to count.

you can say that about any sport ... why watch Tiger regular season basketball?

It's the only time we get to watch them?

This is true. Biggest overall problem is that the Grizzlies lack a superstar. Being a small market team you can't really sign a free agent. So you have to draft one. They made some terrible choices back when they picked in the lottery. Right now we are good enough to win enough games to win a series or two but it's hard to make it to the next level.

Grizzlies put a fun to watch product on the court that accurately reflects the Memphis persona.

Core of Conley, Marc, and ZBo...along with guys like CLee, TA, Jeff Green, Vince Carter (it was fun watching Miller last season too) it's a fun team.

I still think Tyreke or Harden would have been a good pick in 2009...but anything would have been better than Thabeet

I think folks are disappointed with how Carter's season went, but not with the effort of the front office.

They went after Vince and went after Green and re-signed all the key parts.

It just wasn't enough - GS is tops in O and D efficiency.

They may be the team of destiny.

It's not a coincidence that two guys we passed up for Thabeet are playing in the Western Finals. I guess you can play hindsight all day but that draft is like a curse
