Grizz were never going to go more than 2 years and I don't blame them nor do I blame Mike for wanting 3 years for security.

Now it appears the Grizz are going to make a strong run at Vince Carter.

He was informed that the grizzlies were going in a different direction. That different direction appears to be Vince Carter

Looks like the Mavs feel that they are going to lose Vince Carter to the Grizz according to sources

He's 37 and a role player, but defends better than MM and shoots well.

I would take Carter over Miller

Yep. He still got something left in the tank at his age like that shot against the Spurs in the playoffs

3 years $12 mil with 3rd year partially guaranteed

Carter is a massive upgrade over Miller, even at his age. The third year is only partially guaranteed. If he's even got one good year left in the tank it's totally worth it.

According to Marc Stein the Grizz learned that Miller had decided to move on and so they jumped on the chance of getting Carter

Got to trade Prince now

This is a very smart move...keeps Grizz in contention of Western Conf POs while we develop our younger players as well for the future.

Only way you get rid of Prince is to find an albatross of a contract the other team just wants to cut loose.

Kinda like how we were able to get Courtney Lee (which wasn't an albatross).

Keep hating man...you know this is a good get for the current team. He still has some juice left and probably has a good 2 yrs left as a solid NBA player. Keeps the team in strong contention for the next 2 yrs while it allows the organization to keep developing the younger guys and get some good FAs next season.

From what I read, Dallas felt comfortable playing VC at SG and SF.
