I like being in a conference with UAB and I've never said otherwise. And as far as all the holier-than-thou people from our expansion schools go, well, they'd b*tch just as loudly if they'd gotten parked in their conference-of-origin for twenty years.

That's one of the most reasonable posts I've ever seen you make. It makes complete sense and it wasn't derogatory toward anyone.

I think the insufferable fans will be the toppers fans. Especially with that inferior complex they carry around in regards to MTSU.

I'm sorry we were such tools, and I hope nothing but the best for CUSA.

You know how it is when you travel to games. 90% of the home fans ignore you, 5% are super nice, and 5% are asshats?

The asshats are the ones people remember.

Based on what? The one tool we have who is ignored by most sane WKu Fans? He is the only who seems to have an inferior complex when it comes to MTSU....

RE: ECU fans replaced Louisville fans and now
Good seasons or disastrous recent ones, I think USM fans are actually quite humble as a whole.
Sure, there's a bit of bitterness/disappointment in being left behind. Not just this round but going back to UL, Cinci, & USF.
Considering USM, along with FSU, was the South's leading independent for years, & was the rock on which C-USA football was built upon, it's sometimes a bitter pill to swallow. But we carry on.
USM can truly say, their respect was earned on the field over the years, rather than being a manufactured program.
I'd hope USM fans are always humble, no matter how the season goes.

I feel your pain! NOTHING worse than getting lumped in with "those posters/fans"! BUT, it happens with every fanbase!

I do too. There are very few USM fans on here that have ever bothered me. I feel we both have dealt with the same stuff and really feel the same way. Nobody likes to be left out, no matter how much they try to act otherwise. I am not going to dwell on the past but obviously we would have loved to have left with some of those teams.

As far as USM goes, I love having them as a rival, and no matter what happens in the future I hope we continue to move forward in the same conference.

Just down at the wrong time. We were too under JT during the first go round. I always looked forward to USM vs ECU because it always told me what kind of team we had and how well we would do that season. And I have been following ECU since 98. Man I am going to miss playing you guys. Hopefully that will change soon.04-cheers

Please refrain from talking for the whole fan base, much like you tell me from time to time. Because with your overly negative tone toward me and other WKU fans I often wonder where your loyalties lie. I am no more of a tool than you are, but at least when I get after someone it is not people wearing the same shirt.

But please don't let me interrupt you looking down your nose at me.

Seriously? I am not negative toward anyone on here that is a WKU fan besides you....You are beyond immature on here and if we lose a game, we know you will be gone just like last season after USA beat us.....So yea go ahead and think about where my loyalties lie? I would be more worried about loyalties with yourself..(Yes I know, you are Student #1 at WKU and even tried to plan away trips, here is pat on the back from me).... LOL, I am not the one quitting 2 weeks into the season....YOu are the definition of a TOOL.....I am sure most everyone agrees that have read your posts on here the last 2 years...No one wants to read us go back and forth, so that is all I am saying...One of these days I am sure you will grow up and expand from your moms basement you live in now and have more of a grasp on real life reality....

RE: ECU fans replaced Louisville fans and now
ToT might get pissed and say things he probably doesn't mean after a loss. My son (WKU grad) also gets pissed off after a loss.."I'm not going to the next game" but come Wednesday he's calling.."we're still going to ..add in the city/school"

When I look over at the student section (basketball) I see ToT there at every game and I assume that is the case for football also. I've seen the kid at many many many road games...

road games where you have to drive 10 hour
road games where you are driving in snow/ice
road games coming off a loss

Do I wish he would take a few hours cooling off before posting after we lose? it would help
Do I wish he wouldn't post while drinking/drunk ? sure do

But both of those are what 18 to 23 year old kids do...I have 2 of them (19-23) that the most important thing in their life is what happened in the last few minutes. One is a basketball/football fan one is a UFC fan and you don't want to be around him if his fighter loses. I can tell the difference in my older son between his Fr/so and Sr year...still gets pissed but it's no longer "I'm not going to another game".
