Hopefully we can at least play better-be more competitive even if losing.
Future is just a guess.
Major, I know you are very skeptical of Flecks ability to coach, even if he is only as competent as he was last year there are other variables to consider.
You can't deny there will be an infusion of talent between transfers, redshirts, the return of injured players, and true freshmen. There may be a few Corey Davis's in this group and if nothing else there will be added depth.
For all of his early gaffs his team was still playing hard right up to the last game. I'm not an X's and O's guy, so I can't speak to his game day prep and decisions, but it looks like the guy has a knack for motivating. He's a smart guy. I have to believe he'll improve with experience.
This schedule is friendlier than last years.
We had a grad assistant as our special teams coach, and at one point we had 8 Walk ons on that unit.
I thought Mike Hart helped Hill and Brumfield overachieve at EMU. I think he'll be an asset.
Not many things in this world stay the stats quo. When faced with adversity we tend to scratch and claw to improve our condition. No coach just goes through the motions, but some get comfortable. I think this staff will out work a lot of people, because they're young and have loftier goals.
