Man would I love to see an ECU victory of USC. My question, if you keep beating the schools around you, will they all collude to avoid playing ECU?

Sarcasm... Those scholarships for life the NCAA is desperately seeking sure will come handy now.

We've been beating all of them for over 20 years, so I doubt it.

Consistently? I just looked at the last 5 years and if u include VT I think it is 3-9 against UNC, VT, USC and NC ST. But sweeping NC St and UNC plus add maybe taking 2 of 3 or even all three this year, could be a game changer.

The one bonus is that they know your fans will travel.

We own NC State. They are our puppets. We have a house inside their head. They haven't beaten us since 2008.

We're playing VT for the next billion years. Its already in the contract.

The state legislature and the accountants at UNC and NCSU would flip **** if the series was discontinued. The gate receipts are huge when we visit.

You know... I thought that the "We Are Marshall" movie really captured what Marshall is all about. At least that's what I thought, until I got halfway through it and realized "Hey, wait... The Rock isn't supposed to be in this movie" and realized I was watching "The Gridiron Gang."

Bobby Boucher really was the player that turned the program around. And to think he just started out as the waterboy. Such an uplifting story.

Since Skip Holtz took over the program in 2005 ECU is 9-16 (.36%) against regional teams/rivals:

1-0 vs. Duke.
3-2 vs. NCSU
1-1 vs. UVA
2-3 vs. UNC
1-4 vs. WVU (the program's pinnacle years)
1-4 vs. VT (the program's pinnacle years)
0-2 vs USC (the program's pinnacle years) (but ECU's taken 4 of the last 5 at there place in the series history, where the game is this year)

Not bad for a C-USA program when considering that half of those opponents were elite teams and the other half were mostly at least average BCS teams.

During the 90s our record was even better than substantially better. John Thompson certainly set us back a bit.

State's dumb a$$ AD actually said out loud that we have a psychological advantage over them. That was even before they stole our mid field logo. The have peni$ envy.

Not consistently- but we have beaten all of them several times over the past 20-25 years. We played UVA a two game series a few years back and split with them. I'd like to see them on the schedule again.

We have beaten NC State the most over the past few years and all time. We beat South Carolina several times in the 90s and early 2000s but not since Spurrier took over. UNC has been tough but keep in mind the overwhelming majority of our games in the series were played in Chapel Hill and Raleigh w NC St. They wouldn't play us in Greenville until recent history (last 15 years). We are now home and home which should even the records out some over time.

To be honest I like playing UNC and Nc St but I don't think we need to play them every year. We get more pub nationally from beating Va Tech or So Car for example. I'd love to see UVA come back on, maybe Duke and Wake sprinkled in from time to time as well. We've never played Clemson but I'd love to see them in Dowdy Ficklen some day. Tennessee would be cool but only if they go home and home.

We should not schedule a series wo a home and home. I don't care who it is. I have to give our admin and these others schools some props for going home and home with us. We've been a pretty solid program and I believe these schools have come to respect us over the years. Hopefully that will continue because these series are important for us selling our season ticket package.
