Lebron
I hope that the CAVS aren't tearing down the team in hopes of landing KJ. After all he LEFT the team and so far I haven't heard any promises from HIM of returning. Yes, I haven't forgotten and forgiven. Maybe tonight CAV fans will hear THE DECISION Part 2...........and maybe CAV fans will not have their hearts ripped out AGAIN.

RE: Lebron
It's funny hearing Cavs fans talking about how they have forgiven. Even selling forgiven tshirts. So ridiculous. The one who needs to have forgiven to make this reunion work is Lebron. The fans said and did ugly things. The owner posted a letter for the world to see ripping LBJ. For what reason? Because he left? If he stays in Miami, will he still be forgiven? As usual, Cleveland has it so ass backward.

Exactly. Lebron would be the bigger man by coming back. Yeah he didn't handle the Decision so well, but once it was announced Gilbert and Co. were really acting ridiculous. If I'm Lebron, I'd make Gilbert really suck it up big time. Not to mention, people forget that Lebron didn't leave as a free agent per se, the Cavs signed him and then traded him and then Gilbert tried to get the league to change the process after the fact.

RE: Lebron
Well to be fair, I think most level headed fans weren't upset that he left, they were upset because it appeared that he quit on his team during that final series against the Celtics, then he made a ridiculous spectacle of leaving the likes of which had never been seen.

Most knowledgeable fans quickly recognized that the roster they assembled him was horrible and wanting to leave was understandable. 2010 Mo Williams was probably the 2nd best player on that team and he would only be the 3rd or 4th best player on the Cavs current roster BEFORE LeBron signed. That's a roster that couldn't crack the playoffs in a very weak east. Sure, LeBron not committing long term hurt that team in free agency for years but still the front office did a terrible job of putting a roster around him. They completely dropped the ball in the 2004 draft taking Luke Jackson then continued to drop it.

So he left, we continued to blow draft picks, but because we were so bad and got lucky in the lottery we were forced to get a couple of them right. So now he's back, the roster is much more appealing then it was in 2010, and we have Miami's 1st rounder if they make the playoffs which seems like a good bet with the rumors that Bosh and Wade are staying put. So is Lebron still an a-hole? Yes. But he's our a-hole again, so it's ok.

RE: Lebron
Most of Cleveland fans did not react that badly with him leaving. It was that so-called celebration in Miami that really made him look terrible and made a lot of people see him as an a-hole. He obviously has matured. As for Gilbert, he is the worst owner in Cleveland with or without the letter. However because he spends money the fans have tended to support him. Over the last 12-15 years the Indians have the best performance on the field, the Cavs are next and the Browns are pitiful. Of course the fans support the Browns the best, the Cavs second and baseball last. I know the sports themselves have something to do with it, but the hatred for the Indians and the Dolans is amazing. Gilbert is a loose cannon, Haslem a crooked businessman and a loose cannon and Dolan just quietly let's his baseball people run the team. What am I missing??

RE: Lebron
OK - I don't go to Cavs games - I've been to about 5 games over 50 years, and didn't pay for any of them. I was kicking myself after LeBron left, though, because I hadn't seen him live in a Cavs uniform. So I'll go to one game this year. The thing about it is, is I can buy season tickets to the Flashes for what one Cavs game will cost me.

I wonder if this'll be a sign-and-trade deal. LBJ can get more money if Miami signs him and deals him to Cleveland. The money that ESPN listed looked like he was just signing with the Cavs. What's ironic is that Miami still owes Cleveland a first-round draft pick from the sign-and-trade deal when LBJ went to Miami

Wondering if this will help KD recruit. I think Zeke mentioned it when he committed, but I think that was when LeBron's camp was in Akron.

I could see him dropping money for their new arena as a commitment to NE Ohio. He already bought the SVSM arena.

I said the same thing to a friend of mine from Akron. He said if that happens, he'll wait for the press conference where he announces he will move his concrete to Athens.
I for one don't see it happening. He has not direct connections to the university like he did to St. V. Now if his kids go to Akron....
