I've only read the last couple pages of this thread, but I guess you didn't get the memo that WKU was one basket away from back to back Sweet Sixteens in the 2008 & 2009 seasons.

That's nice.

We went 38-2 and made it to the title game that year.

Too bad Memphis had to vacate that season for cheating.

Doesn't change the fact that it happened. And this league got paid well for that year.
Also doesn't change the fact that during those 4 or 5 years, we won more games than any school in NCAA history.

But congrats for almost making it to a sweet 16.

Fair point with the conference getting paid, however WKU did make the Sweet Sixteen. We had a 2 point loss to the Zags that keep WKU from having two Sweet Sixteens in a row.

But congrats for a fine season that almost counts in the record books.
