Well, which jerseys don't you like? Most people don't like the grey ones from last year, but I think they're sticking around. The white ones (especially the all white look) are classic.

We did update our logo. I think its an improvement, but people disagree.

New logo:

As for why we're doing this? I think it will look better on black and charcoal colored uniforms.

I personally love our classic uni's. Green and sky blue, no one has that scheme, and the simple TULANE is solid. Strange, I don;t find many people complaining about our uni's.

As for new, the grey one's from last year were not too great, but the kids love it. We have had a few people find a bunch of proposed helment designs, some pretty out there, wish someone could post them. Like other schools, the staff seems to be on the Oregon bandwagon with all sorts of crazy stuff. For all we know the new lime green Wave is a sign that we are going to go the Oregon/Baylor route.

I have my three tickets.

You do realize YOUR fan started the fight with us.

I did say "somehow someway"....with that said the ECU poster had to add his two cents about "blowing" the game last year in a thread about TU season tickets and my boy responded in kind. That sort of started it, but we sound like infants. The fact is that every thread seems to come back to ECU, again somehow someway. It's just very consistent, that's all.

Please stop complaining about my statement. It's unbecoming. We threw a goal line pick six and missed the FG in OT. I'd call that blowing it. If you really want me to bring things full circle ecu, I'll post our student attendance percentages.

Good luck this season, hope yulman is a hit.

Just to clarify, I don't necessarily disagree that you did not deserve to win the game, just there was no need to make the comment in a thread about TU's stadium, that is just very ECU like IMO to inject your school when it isn;t necessary. It's a small complaint and I get that its all about how passionate your fans are about the Pirates.
Our offense was just so putrid that we were out gained by some bad teams and not just the good ones like ECU. Our D's mentality was bend but don't break and look for the big play, plus our offense constantly put the D in bad spots. Frankly, I was most surprised by our offense making some plays in overtime. I came away feeling we stole that one, but that will happen when you have a solid D.

Unlike you, we probably need some luck to make this a bowl season, but if our redshirt freshman QB steps up and the OL improves, we could really open some eyes.

I love it. This is what feeds the out and out lie about ECU and its fans. You have a number of ECU posters here, who are the same posters on other boards, that absolutely do what you suggest. I am not suggesting ncbeta is one of those but I guess it is easy to label all ECU fans based on those individual actions and to tag behavior as ECU-esque...but it isn't by any means accurate or fair. Others team's fans do it here as well...just not as much since there aren't as many. The fact you guys know which posters do it, refuse to just single them out and instead brand the entire ECU fan-base with their own style of behavior speaks more about the bitchers than it does the few ECU fans you loathe.

Please, I'm asking you and all others. Stop branding ECU fans as a whole. Take a more mature stance and call individual posters out for their own actions. You'll get much further in your fight to curb the behavior versus attacking the non-guilty ECU fans by proxy. Otherwise, it is clear that one's motive is to denigrate ECU.

The new color will not be used in football uniforms. only the logo so I assume that means it will be on the helmet logo.

You guys are doing it right. It will be nice to see Tulane games on TV where it looks like college football craziness. New logos, new stadium, etc. are all perfect ways to inject your program. Atmosphere like that is priceless. 04-cheers

Like I said somewhere else, wait until the Halloween game against Cinci it is going to be wild and hopefully ESPN spends a lot of time showing the crowd.

I know Dempsey is suffering from Alzheimer's-like ailments, but if he is able to do it, that would truly bring a New Orleans crowd to its feet!

They should get members of the 1998 C-USA Championship team and members of the 1949 SEC Championship team.

Better, I really don't think Dempsey will play with anyone under 40.

The Bears are in Chicago that Sunday, don't think our boy Matty Forte will be able to make it. God I hope they don't give Cowen more than one ovation but I know they will wash his balls for a few minutes.

Yeah, it is the gray uniform that I'm specifically picturing, but I also don't like really large size of the "Tulane" font on the front...it's just a bit too 80s and 90s for my taste...not too sleek looking.

I don't outright hate them or anything, I just think that Tulane has an opportunity to be pretty cool and unique with their uniforms and the ones you guys have aren't necessarily that.

No big deal

Sorry I don't memorize Tulane's jerseys. No that lettering is not too big. I'm talking about the away jersey, I was unaware that the gray one replaced your old home green jersey but I was specifically referencing those two.

I also think that primary home and away jerseys should have some design consistencies.

Like I said, it really isn't a big deal. I like Tulane and what they're doing as a program and I'd appreciate not having to argue with their fans and make me dislike them.

A serious buzz has taken over the city for Tulane football and Curtis Johnson. Tulane fans are literally coming out of the woodwork. Rumor on the street is the Tulane board has underestimated the Tulane fan base and the board will begin a study to look at all possibilities of expansion ASAP. I have not seen this much excitement before a season in 30 years. Tulane will sell out the stadium this year. Getting to 6 wins this year will be a challenge with a Freshman QB but in 2015 and moving forward the wave will be a very dangerous.

I just want to tell you my thought process when I crafted that post. It was that we've had to go to the super dome 2 years in a row, but the year you guys build an awesome new stadium, we get you at home? Lame. -- To clarify: I really would've liked for us to be a part of your history and play at Yulman stadium in its inaugural year. It would have been a joy for me to watch Tulane host us. Since 2006 we've had a much, much, better record at home--and don't tend to play as well away (isn't that the case for most teams though?). This is why I say we blew the game on the road. Why do we do this? Beats me. Maybe Pirate fans are the best cheerleaders out there. I do know Tulane played well, I don't take that away from y'all. Send me a PM and I'll show you a graphic I've made regarding home and away games.

As for the uniform discussion....I've posted several placed that the following uniform is in my top 5 of favorites. It's such a classic look, and anyone who says otherwise will get the 05-mafia.

I hate when people say "Alabama and Notre Dame's uniforms are so classic! They're the best in CFB." Nope, these are the best for that look. Next would be your good friends up the river that share colors with us.

Um... those studies were not conducted during the initial design of the stadium?

The initial studies were done for an expansion of up to 5k. This would be at least 10k.
