We only received the ticket sale revenues when we played in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Now we will receive beside ticket sales, concessions, parking andTulane sporting goods etc.

In terms of full-time undergrads (e.g., your traditional students that lives on or near campus in residential housing), we are at about 6400. 4-5k isn't realistic game in, game out.

But 8500 total undergrad. And 13,400 total enrollment with grad school.

Looking at the Yulman interactive seating chart, four sections (Section 126, 128-30) are reserved for students.

Only one section is reserved for visitors (Section 115)

Ballpark, each of those sections has about 1000 seats. So ~1000 for visitors and ~4000 for students.

In addition, there appear to be some seats reserved for player guests/recruits in Section 110/111.

Throw in tickets reserved for sponsors, etc. and there are probably ~7K tickets give or take that Tulane cannot sell on a season ticket basis.

That's actually quite low. Stated another way, Tulane will monetize a higher percentage of seats than other schools.

For example, Baylor can't sell 14,000 seats on a season ticket basis with their new 42,000 seat stadium. Texas Tech can't sell 22,000 seats on a season ticket basis in their 60,000 seat stadium.

Nice. Looking forward to seeing the new stadium when the Tigers come to town on November 15th. Memphis usually has a large contingent of fans make the trip when we play down in NOLA. Good luck in the opener against Ga.Tech.

So, the article says capacity is 30K. I was thinking it was 25K. Nice.

It appears that EVERY AAC school is now seriously committing to athletic excellence. Not only is the conference like a "tide which raises all boats in the harbor", but the fact that all members are making serious improvements will greatly hasten that end, in snowball fashion. The AAC has tremendous potential - if critical mass is ever reached, look out! To paraphrase FDR, the main thing the AAC has to fear is fear itself. Continued commitment and positive thinking are critical.

Any Tulane fan saying 100 students showed up to the Superdome is a liar. Other than the first game of the year and Homecoming majority of the time there were 50 or less. Mostly less.

Of course that is coming from mostly losing seasons of 2-3-4 wins per year so we can't really know what the true student turnout would be if we had a consistent winner, nevermind the fact that we will be back on campus.

I think 1500-2000 students at a school like Tulane would be incredible to get given the UGrad population and the demographics of that population

Quite a feat for a private school of Tulane's size. I love it. Tulane has the opportunity to be a really cool program in college football. Cool brand, new stadium, are you guys doing anything to your jerseys? Only thing I dislike is your jerseys

You didn't blow the game in New Orleans buddy, we physically dominated you in that game. We won the game, you didn't lose it. Check my short history here, I am not a 05-stirthepot type of person. Just being honest about that one particular game. I would say we would have only won 2-3 times out of 10 if those exact teams played a series, but that one day it was ours.

I'm sorry man, but that game is a stupid goal line Shane Carden throw and a Warren Harvey meltdown from a non-conversation.

It was an ugly game...but that's how ECU always plays when there's no atmosphere (see MTSU game). Things will be different now and I will look forward to watching Tulane in Yulman but man I just knew that ECU would be flat and undisciplined in front of an empty Superdome. There was no "physical domination" that day...ECU had over 500 yards of offense, just shot themselves in the foot.

RE: Yulman Stadium ... Less than 5,000 tickets remain...
There was a lot of debate in this thread about how many season tickets are for sale in the stadium... the poster of the thread said in the initial post, "less than 5,000 season seats remain!" The problem is the article, the athletic director doesn't say that, he says, "Less than 5,000 tickets remain in the stadium."

He later says a few hundred prime seats on the press box side and upper level seats on the home side. I do believe you'll have plenty of sellouts this season. The question is - will the students fill their allotment.

If the students don't reserve/claim their alloment - SELL THEM PUBLICLY - however, don't wait until the afternoon before or morning of the game to tell the public their are tickets available, because by then, they'll think the game is sold out, this has been a HUGE issue in Charlotte with student seats at the new stadium.

Saying 100 makes me a liar? Funny. I've had tailgates of 20+ students and we didn't sit in the student section. Not every student chooses to sit in ****** seats with no one else.

Not debating the loss, debating "physical domination". We have never been dominated physically by a CUSA opponent. See our 80% CUSA winning percentage.
