I think the great dark spot Voyager 2 discovered on Uranus is no longer there either.

I hope the red spot doesn't disappear. Hopefully it will expand again in the coming decades.

Shoemaker-Levy 9 impacts?

The article said it had been shrinking since at least 1930 or so, so it doesn't appear to be anything recent. It's supposed to be at least 250 years old, it's interesting that anything can last that long in that atmosphere.

BTW, that's a really nice picture of Jupiter.

The Great Dark Spot was on Neptune. Although that makes it less useful for comedic material.
