Ok, for the dozen or two or three, that might be true but for the other 99.9%, they don't have sons playing HS Football, the above is not much of a concern.

And actually parents with kids have their own tee ball or soccer games on Saturday. Only tricky part is these Thursday and Friday games usually start at 8pm.

I now love the Thursday and Friday night games. Guarantees us a night game which is huge plus in Florida and I have all my Saturday open.

I was going to post that families like the above have a lot more conflicts on Sat mornings/early afternoons for their 5-14 yr old boys AND girls but most know that.

Sounds like the poster I was responding to is one of a few that has a son playing HS Football and his fav college team has a Friday night home game.

I don't see how weeknight games are any problem for most AAC schools (those which are located in metropolitan areas). Plus, a true fan, who lives out of town, can take a day or two off to make the game. I know I would. I do think Friday nights should be avoided as far as practical out of respect for the high school games.

Being retired has it's advantages I presume. Some of us hold positions where we can not just take a day or so off without a great deal of notice if at all. There are some careers where you just do not have that luxury. I for one have Fridays and Saturdays off. This makes weekend games easy for me.

I would also like to point out that in some places merely going across town so to speak, is a 1 to 2 hour endeavour during the week.

You should also take into account that most of the higher paying careers which are the bulk of those whom have disposable incomes and buy tickets, are off on weekends.
