This is my beater I drive to work and back with close to 300,000 on it. Anyone know how or where to get this bubble fixed so I can get a windshield? Is it something my buddy can do? He is a mechanic but this is body work. I would think he could just shave it down or something. I know as much about cars as I do about chimp volleyball.
Talk to your mechanic buddy first. Chances are he knows someone who does some auto bodywork at home. This "can be" an expensive repair to get it done correctly. If it is a half job it is gonna crack again. With over 300,000 miles be careful how much you spend. Might be time for a new beater.

RE: Car Repairs
Sell it on Craigslist and treat yourself to a new 5-6 year old ride.

Ask your kid what is the cool thing to drive and pass it on to him in 4-5 years. But only if he washes it from time to time and checks the tire pressures for you and keeps the carpets vacumned.
