How many times during Iraq/Afghanistan did the JOC lose almost an entire unit of special op's guys from either Delta or the Seals?

Red Wings was one and I remember hearing about another incident shortly after we killed OBL, are there any others?

Not surprised. You could shoot the guy 6 times and he's still walking around.

What was egregious about the entire mission was that the SEAL's went in with zero gunfire support. No air or ground batteries were available for direct fire missions, which at a minimum would prevented the SEALS for being encircled in a kill zone.

Tie the guys up with cables. Feed them and tell them to stay quiet. Call in a Blackhawk with a Cobra flying for cover. Cut the guys loose as you get on the deck. That whole scenario was Fubar imo. Didn't understand the need to let the goat herders just go.
