Agree.
Charlotte home games will all be available for syndication on your local CW station next season, so anyone playing at Charlotte will theoretically have an opportunity to watch the game on television. After that, our TV deal with our local CW affiliate expires, so I don't know what will happen after that. CUSA's current TV deal probably prevents us from renewing it.
Is that anywhere on CW? Like the CW in Greenville? Or just the CW out of Charlotte?

JMO on this. The way FOXSN handled CUSA TV games last year, or at least in NC with FOXSC(Sports Carolinas) as the subset of FOXSS (Sport South) is that a FOXSS game didn't always get shown on a FOXSC channel. FOXSC mostly showed ACC games. It was confusing as hell to find the games and sometimes they get listed as being on FOXSS but since you get FOXSC instead in this area you don't actually get the game.

That said, I liked FOX's production values and they generally did a better job than CBSCS.

Like alot of AAC posters, I will admit, I saw some logic in this thinking. I liked going with NBC-Sports better than ESPN. The idea was that NBC-Sports had NO other FBS football. They would offer good time slots and promote and treat the package with more respect than ESPN.
The best solution would be to split the package between Fox and NBC-Sports. Give NBC the #1 game. Give Fox the #2 or #3 game on alternating weeks. NBC has to show 3 games a week. They get the best stuff and treat the product well. Fox gets the #2 or #3 game---so they still get at least one pretty good game every week. If you can get Fox to carry the rest of the games on their regionals you get most all of CUSA's games on TV, mostly on Saturdays, and the 3 NBC-Sports games each week gives CUSA solid national exposure on a network with 80 million homes (that's better than CBS-Sports which is in only about 50-55 million homes). If I was Banowsky--I would be aiming for something like that. I'd even take a little less money if I can up my exposure and still play most all my games on Saturdays.

Charlotte. It is available for syndication on any CW network that wants to pick it up though. I think some SC stations picked up the feed last year when we played at Coastal Carolina. We killed it in the ratings last year, so the Charlotte CW station sent a crew to Conway to broadcast the game.
Wouldn't shock me if all our games are on TV this year. All of our away game are in NC/SC.
I'm hoping we can renew the deal after the three year contract is up. We get 70% of the advertising revenue from the broadcast. Pretty sweet deal for us and gives us great exposure in the area.

The problem is FS2 would rather show UCF reruns all day and night....FS1 seems to not want to have our games on Saturdays for the most part..

FOX and NBC Sports. To hell with ESPN!
This! FOX AND NBCSN. Both need content. NBCSN doesn't have any FBS content, and FS1 and NBCSN are in a lot more homes than CBSSN.

You guys keep saying FOX and NBCSN needs content. You also have to remember they both want content that will draw viewership. These networks are simply not going to add content for the sake of adding it. It has to have some value to it as well.

In terms of content, featuring teams from Norfolk, Miami, Nashville, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, El Paso, Birmingham and --next year -- Charlotte, does have potential in terms of viewership, particularly if teams from those areas can put an entertaining product on the field. Wasn't that some of the premise behind the markets philosophy of BB when craftiing this league together when our old mates left? We'll see if that strategy works. It may mean a ton in terms of setting up a renegotiation of our TV contract...which will likely need to be start in next year's off season

NBCSN doesn't need much Saturday content since it has the EPL. Timeslots wouldn't be open for college football until around 3:00 PM ET, which would make it unlikely to be able to carry more than two Saturday college football games total with EPL recaps after primetime Saturday nights.

RE: Wrote an email to C-USA
NBC walked away from MLS (soccer) at a steal of a price because the viewership numbers just weren't there - and the EPL was out performing... why would they add for the sake of adding, if they are turning down other low ratings producers.

RE: Wrote an email to C-USA
So Fox seems to be the best option when talking Tier 1 tv rights. Can we all agree on that? If so, what do you guys propose for Tiers 2 & 3 ?
