The adviser was just in the way...uhmmm ...So what do you do...?

Simple, you grab her and throw her down.

I suppose (hope) that a delay in response is just to tie up loose ends and complete the investigation. But ... each day that passes is a concern. I just do not see how a player who pushes a lady to the ground in the middle of a study hall (and then attacks someone else) can linger within our athletics program. I hope I am missing something?

RE: CA: Police report says Woodson, academic advisor attacked by football player
Hello all,

Some posts have been moderated for a couple of reasons. Primarily due to the fact that some potential rumors or events of the situation in question were being discussed with real names outside of the police reports. Seems like a little out of bounds, so removed.

The board reads better if people can not either get over heated and get into pissing matches or distribute damaging rumors via PM about things that generally might be left either unsaid or might be problematic and hurtful to people.

I know this is a subtle note, and I'm certainly forwarding no discipline to anyone's posts who were moderated, as they really broke no obvious AUP rules. This is just a discretionary move based on a reducing the temperature of the conversation a little.

Obviously, this story is incomplete, and it bears to reason that things will come out. As those who claimed to know what happens are confirmed, I'll be the first to acknowledge that. But sometimes it helps to remember that issues can be a bit complex and being first doesn't equate with being best.

If your post is gone, feel free to PM me and I'll discuss.

Thanks, carry on.

Gees no kidding. Sometimes I'll tune in just to fact check -- but it's always there.

According to the report, Woodson and Davis were involved in a verbal disagreement -- over a female, a source told The CA last week -- that became physical after Davis grabbed U of M Associate Director of Athletic Academics Kristin Williams and "shoved her to the floor" to get to Woodson.

The 5-8, 170-pound Davis then lunged at Woodson, according to the report, and took the 6-10, 290-pound forward to the ground, resulting in "minor sheet rock damage to the walls in the area as a result of the assault."

Fuente has 'em wrapping up on tackles. 04-cheers

that might be promising, if he played defense. 03-banghead

Still -- a good sign -- no? I mean just think what the guys on defense can do. And interceptions -- got it covered.

If he hadn't rolled off a female assistant, I might be inclined to be really excited about this follow-through. Football will be interesting this fall, as usual.

Having to roll off the assistant before taking on a guy almost twice his weight and size only increases the difficulty -- and then making an imprint of him in sheetrock. I'd say he still had something left on the follow-through. 03-wink

I think our RB will be cleared once it is revealed that he mistook the power forward for a D-lineman

Yea...I kind of cringed when I read it. The tone was puzzling.

I cringed a lot. How can anyone make light of a punk football player taking down a sitting tutor and her seated student?

The sheet rock damage was probably the result of the table and chairs banging into it.
Oh, and BTW, the only person who sustained any injuries in this fiasco was the perp.

Is the Tutor the perp, because the reports states she was the only one with any injuries.
