DeAngelo Williams did something pretty cool before boarding a flight Monday.

The Carolina Panthers and former Uof M running back gave up his seat in business class to a Marine.

He also explained more about the generous move with a post on Facebook:

He just doesn't know it yet but he will be sitting in this seat when he boards the plane I always give up my 1st class seat! #isalutethetroops!

If John and Grant's teacher can tweet to the world how proud he is to have taught them, then I think it's OK for Deangelo to tweet about giving up his seat to someone.

I figure D was just trying to raise awareness....and he did...even if the awareness was to be aware of the pretenders out there.
