Year in and year out regardless of who was behind center or catching passes. Had he been able to or cared at all about running the ball, things may have been different for him.

There's no doubt Cubit was brilliant with the X's and O's. Offense he had forced QB's to make quick reads and put the ball in the hands of play makers. Also helped hide OL inefficiencies as well... which is why, IMO, we always had at least a shot at competing with the B1G teams.

I have my doubts that Fleck's pro-form offense will work in the MAC like many others, but at that time I didn't expect us to be able to recruit the level of talent required for it to be effective.

It may not be accurate but our depth chart in ATHLON CFB mag has three WRs, no TEs, one RB listed - which indicates a Spread Offense,, not any kind of "pro-form offense."

Latter would have one TE or two RBs (FB and RB-TB).

I will say that Ciarrocca had success at Delaware with Flacco running out of the gun with one back sets. I have never seen a Flacco college highlight where he was under center. Last year, I don't recall running out of the gun that often or at all really. Maybe he plans on using Stewart the same way.(that is all Stewart ran in HS)

"Spread" does not necessarily mean "Shotgun."

I know that Purdue was also a train wreck last season, but the Broncos are gonna have their hands full with this kid.

If they want to try to throw the ball (like MSU did), I like our secondary; don't care who the other QB is. If they choose to run the ball 60%+ of the time, we are screwed.

I like our secondary too. but with no pressure from the front 4, 7 sacks is absolutely pathetic and if that happens again, we are in trouble. That sets up the secondary to have to cover longer then they can.

It was exactly 20 years ago. 1994 at Miami. Last opening game road win prior to that was at Wisconsin in 1988.

I remember that day well...04-rock

I was at that game in Madison. My mom took me when I was 9 years old. Some Wisky frat guy gave me a Budweiser poster of some hottie in a bikini. I thought it was awesome. My mom was not thrilled with the poster, it never made it home.
