RE: Great Jobs Report
For the people who actually have jobs, those are great numbers....but....

Quote:People Not In Labor Force Rise To New Record, Participation Rate Remains At 35 Year Lows

Those following the labor force participation rate (which as even the Census Bureau showed is declining not so much due to demographics but due to older people working longer and pushing younger people out of the labor force as we showed yesterday) will hardly be surprised to learn that alongside today's impressive NFP print, the reason why the unemployment rate took another big step lower from 6.3% to 6.1%, was once again as a result of the number of people not in the labor force, which in June rose to a fresh record high of 92,120K, up 111K from June.

Care to explain what Obama did? Other than to be president when it happened. Sort of like being president when Seal Team SIX killed Osama bin Laden.

The Federal Reserve is continuing to effectively print $85 billion per month. Where do you think that money is going? Not Middle Class America.

RE: Great Jobs Report
the FIRST mention I have seen of this in the MSM is when they announced that it was decreasing . .

Quote:An alternate measure of unemployment that measures those who have stopped looking for work or are working part-time for economic reasons also fell, to 12.1 percent, marking its lowest reading since October 2008.

RE: Great Jobs Report
remember the early obamite line from 2009, "we saved the economy. just imagine how bad it would be if it wasn't for our policies"?

turn about is fair play:

just imagine the economic heights we would be hitting if it was not for obama's lethal economic policies holding us back.

Dominion, if you owned a large, multi million dollar company, would you hire Obama to run it?

He's just trolling. Everyone knows that Obama hasn't done a thing to help the economy. There is a better case to be made that his policies have caused the economy to stagnate.

So then, do we blame him when unemployment is bad, but not give credit when it's good? Is the president to blame whenever the economy is bad, because he should have done something to make it good?

He promised to improve everything. Maybe he should have kept his mouth shut.

You Sir don't know much about the stock market do you ? What are you thanking BHO for? This market is a sham, a fraud...that is falsely propped up! They don't teach finance at Oduh do they? Coupled with not having to take the SAT for admittance either. Carry on.

I am all about giving him credit when things are good...but they aren't. The unemployment number is going down because (1) people are leaving the workforce and (2) most new jobs are temporary or part-time. Since he came into office, incomes and the number of full-time workers have both strunk.

As to DOW 17K...that has nothing to do with the economy and I wouldn't give any President credit or fault with regard to that. The DOW is increasing based on the FED pumping easy money into the economy and because companies have been able to shed workforce and find cost reductions via mergers.
