What is in the water in Lubbock?
LUBBOCK, Texas -- A former Texas Tech cornerback faces felony assault charges after he was accused of hitting one of the school's women's basketball players at the university's recreation center.
A Texas Tech Police Department offense report released Monday accuses freshman Nigel Bethel II of "causing serious bodily injury" by hitting Amber Battle on Saturday. The one-page report states the attack included "hands, fists, feet, etc."
Efforts to reach Bethel were unsuccessful. The highly regarded defensive back from Miami was released from custody pending formal charges by the Lubbock County district attorney's office.
Bethel was dismissed from the football team on Sunday.
Athletics spokesman Blayne Beal said Bethel is being allowed to complete his summer school session.
Battle led the Lady Raiders last season with 16.4 points per game.

JML is gone. No need to troll the remaining Tech fans.

Seems like you have trouble reading. The guy is from Miami, not Lubbock.

I wonder what school will take a chance on the kid. Rivals had him at the 43rd best player coming out of Florida.
Beating up a female BB player is inexcusable but I bet somebody will pick him up.
Good cornerbacks are hard to find.
That is assuming that he will stay out of jail.

Probably a CUSA Florida school. Providing His jail time let's Him. I wouldn't want Him if He's that unstable as to badly beat up a Woman. No Excuses.

Can someone close this thread? The title is clearly trollbait. As funny as it is to make fun of JML, UC fans should be above this type of asshattery.
