In the spring Carey also said that he was going to pick the best passer.

At the Summer event he said that he would pick the best leader.

Best Passer/Leader makes sense if they're all fairly equal as far as running.

Running wise, Lynch was a freak and Harnish was great at the "read" option and was elusive.
I don't think they're equal running wise. Hare is a step down from Maddie/McIntosh. Those two are pretty close, but I would probably give a slight edge to Maddie. I do think Hare is the best thrower of the group. Granted, I haven't been to a practice since spring 2013 now because I moved, but everytime I saw him his arm was very impressive.

RE: QB Competition
Are we at least confident that one of our 3 new guys is as good as DeMarcus Grady if not better?

I never saw DG play QB and its slow on the news front.

Yes. I think both McIntosh and Hare will be better QBs. Never seen Maddie other than high school highlights so can't really comment there.

RE: QB Competition
For what it's worth, Maddie played some Free Safety in the Aurora Christian defense in big games/big situations. That would be an easier transition for him than Receiver. He's never played Receiver. Maddie does have ridiculous hops and is 6'-2", which is taller than most DBs. With his speed and sheer athleticism, he would be effective.

RE: QB Competition
I don't think either of 3 QBs is a really a stable answer, next year should be a different dynamic at the position.

Even if that is true, the Huskies are returning a platoon of RBs who can do good things with the ball. I would look to see the QB only throwing 20-25 times a game and there to be closer to 40-50 rushing attempts.
