People from South and Central America will always want to come here as long as their home country is a hell hole. People brag about Mexico's strict immigration policies but that doesn't stop immigrants from illegally crossing their border either.

Immigration Reform is the only answer.

The vast majority controlled democratic house, the democratic supermajority in the senate, and the blunder in the white house could have passed anything they wanted in the first two years. Democrats do not want immigration reform.

A heavy handed approach is needed. Reform's goal is merely to make our border even easier to cross.

The only way to stop illegal immigration is to stop illegal immigration.

The strange part about that Dr. Phil-esque line is how true it is. If we want to stop this issue then (1) build a fence, (2) create outposts along that fence, and (3) deport anyone that is illegally here, regardless of age, back to their home country.

I remember back in 2006, the liberals were saying that if we built a fence, the price of a head of lettuce would jump to around $10.

It's fear tactics like this(along with, you'll never gain the Hispanic vote) that has paralyzed the GOP from pushing harder on the issue.

I hope we get to a point where we tell these people to f off and just do it.

Those were toddlers with their mothers on those buses weren't they? It would seem to me that the protesters could have picked a better target for their symbolic protest. Isn't there a bus load of gang members headed to one of those processing facilities on the schedule? Poor planning if you ask me.

I used to live in that area. Temecula is the next town over and that's where Issa is from. Go north 30 miles and that's where Ken Calvert ® is from. They should have taken the kids to San Francisco.

I lived in San Diego for 5 years in the early 00's. Anti-Latino racism was rampant there and made Alabama's racism look tame in some respects. but the odd thing was that ..... Few illegals stay in San Diego County. The people in North/East County protesting don't have many Latinos (regardless of immigration status) around them anyway.
