Yea it was a rough night but he is OK. This article may shed some light on the crazy night. :)

Hmm .. that's unfortunate. I would have like to have seen Boswell get the job over Fat Randy given his below-average performance last season.

RE: NFL Preseason
Bullock made his final 12 attempts last year and wasn't horrible his 2nd half of the season. His first half of the season was a mess and fans will be all over him if he gets off to another slow start this year. Boswell will be fine but I wouldn't wait for Bullock to get into a slump if I was him. I'd be shopping his services throughout the league if I was his agent.

He's not a punter though. He takes too long to get the punts off. Although I'm surprised we didn't use him more to punt the last few years considering our issues there for parts of the last 2-3 seasons.

If you can get away with it, maybe that's why the Texans punt coverage has been noticeably better this pre-season (until last night).

Or maybe the punt rush will get more severe in the regular season?

I thought Bos did well punting for the Texans in the pre-season. He'd be a nice insurance policy for any team. As the place kicker, he'd be one roughing the kicker penalty away from being a team's punter as well.
