Former Tigers Chris Crawford, Geron Johnson and Tarik Black, who played at Kansas last season after spending three years at Memphis, will play for the Rockets next month in the NBA summer leagues.

Another former Tiger, Adonis Thomas, will play for the Brooklyn Nets in the Orlando summer league.

Hoopshype.com reported Friday that Joe Jackson, the Tigers’ leading scorer and assist man last season, will play with the Sacramento Kings in the Las Vegas summer league next month. But neither Jackson nor his agent, Charles Briscoe, had confirmed the report as of late Saturday afternoon.

Summer squad games do just that...as almost every team in USA (and in Europe) either scout and/or get tape of all summer league games (Orlando and Vegas locations) and that's where many players are discovered and given NBDL spots, top Europe club contracts or even NBA FA contracts.

Also, some take advantage of being starters in NBDL and/or Europe vs riding the pine in NBA without much playing time.
