A small thing I'm really glad CUSA does.
I know this looks like a small thing, but I'm really glad that the Conference USA social media profiles are doing this:

The way the CAA treated ODU (and Georgia State) when we left, it felt like the Colonial's administration was not only angry, but vindictive. It felt childish and unprofessional and it's marred what have been some fantastic moments for us in that conference. I'm glad C-USA at least makes it look like it's happy to see it's member schools succeed, even if it does take them away from the conference.

Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing things.

Very good find. ODU fans can certainly appreciate that type of professional outgoing.

Banowsky has essentially said in the past that he sees him mission to help position member schools to be wanted by others. I honestly think that in his mind, the fact that 7 of his league's schools "got promoted" and the. He back filled the league with something that can be nearly as strong in the future as a "win for almost everyone". (Southern Miss fans probably disagree at this point.)

A dozen and a half former CUSA schools are now in the ACC, Big 12, Big East, AAC - and he's promoted 12 of the 14 schools into CUSA. If CUSA 3.0 has any bit of success over time, then isn't that probably the philosophy most should have in college athletics?

The only part I disagree with is the notion that there's anything good about CUSA for the schools that don't get promoted. Banowsky's doing his job, and he's good at it. USM just sucks, and not even Knute Rockne and Gandhi could get us out of CUSA.

Banowsky is a cancer. Of course, getting rid of ECU is a good thing, but still.

I also thought this was a classy move by CUSA. This is actually what inspired me to make a "thank you" post to CUSA.

Agree. We are sorry it was not well-received by couple of USM fans. Good luck to Tulsa in the AAC.
