As much as I hate to say it, that is a pretty cool backdrop for the practice fields overlooking the city. Stark contrast from ours where there are pine trees and a drainage ditch, er, Beautiful Eagle Creek.

I was going to ask what type of transport that was up there...I'm pretty unfamiliar with what Atlanta has.

Is it loud? Anything special the coaches/players do when it comes by?

Trains go right through TXST facilities all day, every day. The tracks lie between the donor parking lot of Bobcat stadium and the right field fencing of the baseball field (and past the practice fields which are behind and to the left of the baseball field)

Well we have cargo trains come by all day next to the complex. The elevated train is MARTA, public transit and there is one every 4 to 8 minutes. The only other FBS school I know of with a similar setup is Temple.

Did you miss my post? The trains (cargo and Amtrak) cut right through campus facilities. In the pic you can see 2 sets of tracks. One to the left of the softball filed (that goes along one side of the practice field) and the other goes past right field of the baseball stadium (and past the practice fields on the other side) They join up, to become one track, just before Bobcat Stadium. The differences?
1 - It's not every 4-8 minutes
2 - Yours doesn't cut through the campus

Not trying to downplay your trains just showing you that it's not as unique as you're stating unless you just account for the public transport.

Now, if you want to talk a river runs through it...that could be challenging

I wasn't trying too, really. I was trying to point out that trains on/near/going through campus aren't unique to Temple and GSU.
Apologies if it came off that way. 01-ncaabbs

Cool video. Would be interesting when working out to see a train go by every few minutes. Reminds me of the LIRR.

They come by so often that almost every interview has them either on camera or the sound in the background. Even cooler is to be on the train at night when they are practicing.
