Big East Expanding
Big East Women's Lacrosse for 2015:
Florida
Vanderbilt
Georgetown
Villanova
Temple
Connecticut
Cincinnati
Marquette
This makes sense as Louisville and Rutgers depart, and Florida and Vanderbilt need a ride. This is also pretty much the only way Fox can show Florida and Vanderbilt on FS1.

RE: Big East Expanding
Isn't it kind of odd that its the Big East sponsoring the sport? I say this given that there are more full-time members of other conferences than there are full-time Big East members. 3 AAC members, 3 Big East members and 2 SEC members.

The Big East has name recognition and experience running a womens lacrosse conference. The aac has mid major football. I'd go with the BE too.

But the AAC is organizationally the old BE, no?
Perhaps the new BE kept women's lax because they had a men's league too? The AAC doesn't have any men's teams I think...

And how did Rutgers do in that "mid major" football conference?
And how did UCF do in the AAC Champion vs Big 12 Champion Fiesta Bowl game?

The nbe doesn't need any more teams.
Butler lost Stevens.
Creighton just lost McDermott.
The C7 hasn't won a title since the mid 80s.
There is enough sand blasting that needs to be done amongst the current membership.
St. Louis and Dayton gain nothing by leaving a very similar (and more successful) conference.

I would have rather us went with the C7 in the Big East for 1 year than the AAC.

Its odd in isolation, but AFAIR, the Big East and the American did a deal on Olympic Sports where the Big East sponsored Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse and UConn & Temple got a home for their teams, and UC got a home for their Women's Lacrosse team, and the American didn't worry about Louisville & Rutgers taking both with them when they moved on.

Big East Expanding
The American Lacrosse Conference, where Florida and Vanderbilt last played, was at one time set to pick up a new program at South Carolina that has yet to take the field due to lack of a facility. The Johns Hopkins women, who were already scheduled to compete in 2015 as an independent, may be a candidate if they don't follow the men's team to the Big 10.

I think they went independent on purpose rather than necessity.
The women's Lacrosse team playing as an independent is fine with the Big Ten (since Northwestern not only plays Women's but not Men's Lacrosse, but plays Women's Lacrosse at a high level) ...
... if Johns Hopkins wanted their women's team to join a conference not the Big Ten, and that desire is subject to substantial doubt, I don't know how well that will go down with the Big Ten schools, where most have an "all in" tradition extending back before the founding of Division I. It seems likely America East or the Colonial would meet with fewer objections than playing in an FBS conference or a multi-bid BBall conference.

Yes, it was another mediocre year for RU. Once again the wheels came off after beating a middle of the pack SEC team. We replaced both the DC & OC. So here's to things being better this year.
UCF was good last year. I'm glad to see that you guys have improved since that 2009 St Petersburg Bowl. Remember the kick in the dick Rutgers gave you guys in that game? Considering that there were more empty seats than UCF fans at that game, I'm betting you don't. Good luck with your future endeavors in C-USAAC.
